Giraffes are ruminant mammals that measure between 5 and 6 meters in height. It was believed that they were born from the cross between the Camel and the Leopard and thus were called by the Romans the camel-leopard. They inhabit the lands south of the Sahara, in North Africa and it is the only animal that can touch its own ear with its tongue.
